Have you ever found an answer? I assume that they should be much closer in score. Perhaps the i7-980 is supposed to be listed at 8,650. I'm trying to select a CPU to put into an old build that I'm repairing. I'd go for the 980 but this chart is making me hesitate. Thanks...and sorry for such a late response.
Can somebody explain to me why i7 980 has so low 3dmark physics score compared to i7 970 ?
I still don't believe why the 980x is still 1000 dollars even if it's old...
