I wouldn't be surprised if the company made the price tag of the 4960 so much higher as a facade for customers to flock to the 4930, all while saying "wow look how much better this one is, I'll have to get it."
I don't see how the winnder would be the 4960X... When the 4930K is like, a very small tap around 500$ less for pretty much the same performance and overclocking capability.
Wow... two totally different prices, but very similar performance.
