So frustrating everytime I game my i54690 goes to 100% usage and then lags drives me nuts theres nothing else running besides the game. BF4 lets say so i went and bought and 8350. to counter the 100% usage lag
The i5-4690 k or non k is the AMD FX killer, no matter how I compare there is no reason to go for an 8 core FX over the Hashwell i5, or if you have money an i7. The only AMD FX CPU that make sense is the 6300 from 2012 with decent overall performance for a dirt low price that has always been AMD's signum. In this price range the Intel rocks the socks of AMD.
Tought so. I bought the i5-4690x. Never considered the AMD processor. But this vs can confuse a lot of people. Anyways. thanks.
The i5 is clearly better for gaming. only reason why the FX 8350 has such an high score is because it only beats it on synthetic benchmarks and video encoding. not worth it.
but you have to have diffrent mother boards for each processor. in case you dont know.
Ahhh man let me tell you... im not expert or anything... but its night and day. Intel i5 is clearly way better imo. The only example of how I think its better for me... is gaming. I play alot of games.... and this was a huge improvement. Example.... Rome total war... used to take for ever.. to go through a whole turn to get back to me.... The i5 turned that 30 secs into like 5 secs. Like I said im not expert... but it was def a power improvement.. It is better than the AMD FX 8350
So, did it crap out too? What about performance, any significant changes?
I bought the AMD FX 8350... worked good.... ended up crapping out on me in 6 months. Intel i-5 comes in today.... Ill let you know
For a budget build, gaming especially, I would go with the AMD FX-8350 over the Intel Core i5-4690. Just because most gamers, like me, prefer to overclock their CPUs which you can do very easily with the 8350. But, if you do have the money, most definitely go for the i5-4690.
