| Intel Core i5 4570 vs 3570 |
The Intel Core i5 4570 and the Intel Core i5 3570 have their ups and downs, but when compared to each other, the i5 4570 comes on top because of a few subtle facts.
Despite the i5 3570 boasting higher clock speed than the i5 4570- 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) and 3.2GHz (3.6GHz Turbo) respectively- that’s the only thing it has over the newer model, the i5 4570. Both of the processors are quad-core without hyperthreading and 6MB of L3 cache. As you can see, performance-wise, the 3570 doesn’t really outperform the 4570, however the bigger difference comes from the fact that the 4570 has much better power consumption and power utilisation than the 3570: it has 35% lower power consumption, more than 70% performance per watt and about 50% lower annual energy cost.
So the verdict is, as the sheet below will also clearly show you, that the Intel Core i5 4570 is better than the Intel Core i5 3570, albeit slightly slower.
