best Desktop AMD cpus

it is a decent overclocker but is pretty sitting where it is at stock clock.

This 6 core CPU went into a machine for my mother for Christmas, it more than doubles what I'm currently running in my own home machine to edit video and photos... I can't wait to upgrade from my triple core CPU to an 8 core CPU... just not looking forward to replacing all the other items as well!

In the other straight CPU performance tests in Cinebench it shows a very slight advantage, though the improvements in single-threaded performance aren't as pronounced as with the FX-8350.

Depending on the number of active modules on your particular AMD FX processor, you can have anywhere from 4MB L2 to 8MB L2 Cache.

And the Turbo core is great, allowing you to kinda have the best of both worlds.

While we are on the subject of performance, AMD Turbo CORE technology is also a nice touch as most of the time you aren't using your PC for heavy tasks and the clock frequency boost is nice to have.

The Core i3 is locked so it has no OC love to give, y'see.

After some time and alot of trial and error (a little rusty with Black Edition Processors) I was able to increase the bus speed and additional 5MHz which would give us 105MHz on the clock speed (21 multiplier x 5MHz) for a final stable overclock of 4305MHz which is a solid 1GHz+ overclock.
