Also the FX chips support much better instruction set as the Phenom II chips dont support SSE 4.1 so a few games will refuse to even run on them
i would go the fx 6300 i know its not much better and the reason it didn't win from what i can see is price but there isn't much price in it anyway maybe $50 for us aussies and it overclocks great with a better air cooler im running the fx6300 on 4.4 ghz and its not even breaking a sweat under 40C when under load
No, one is modular and the other isnt
Interesting! looks like they perform very similar. I wonder if it could be because they are actually the same architecture but tweaked a little differently so they could sale it again under the FX name and claim it's new. LOL
