Intel Pentium B980

Released April, 2012
  • 2.4 GHz
  • Dual core
6.3 Out of 10

The Intel Pentium B980 is the successor to the Intel Pentium B960. Much like its predecessor, the B980 is from the Sandy Bridge series and has two cores inside its CPU. Unlike the B960, though, the B980’s cores are clocked at 2.4GHz, with a 512KB L3 cache. The B980 is best suited for entry-level laptops and is expected to be able to perform on par with other, slightly faster processors, due to this core’s lack of Hyperthreading and low last level cache.
