The Intel Core i7 4900MQ is a very powerful, high-end processor for laptops that was launched in the second quarter of 2013 and is based on the Haswell architecture, manufactured in 22nm. The 4900MQ sports four 2.8GHz cores, each capable of reaching a speed of 3.6GHz with Turbo Boost. Compared to the Ivy Bridge series, the Haswell technology offers some improvements that increase performance by about a tenth, making the 4900MQ that much better than its predecessors. The GPU integrated in the 4900MQ is an Intel HD Graphics 4600, which offers a speed of 400MHz, with 20 execution units, making it about thirty percent faster than its predecessor, the HD Graphics 4000.
