(Mar, 2012)I'm using this as a placeholder (waiting for ivy bridge) for a "normal" gaming pc (nothig extreme) using the AMD HD 6850 and it performs very good, of course you're gonna get some bottleneck if you want to play every game on ultra quality at 1080p, but for high/very high it's great, i got 58-70 fps on skyrim, 48-56 on battlefield 3 on very high, 62-72 on Mass effect 3 Maxed, using a 19" LCD at 1440 x 900.
