clock speed
FX 6200 by Thomas (Oct, 2012)I am really impressed with the performance of the new FX series chips from AMD.
FX 6200 by Izaya (Oct, 2012)Minecraft with a 256x256 texture pack and view distance on Far+64 (Optifine mod)- 38-220 FPS (Performance got draggy due to memory leaks on the current minecraft version, my java client was using 3.1GB of RAM and was trying to use more, when in reality it should have only been using up to 1-2GB of it).

overclocked clock speed (air)
FX 6200 by AMDGuyMichigan (Nov, 2012)The processor is amazingly fast and overclocking was amazingly simple.
FX 6200 by David-M.-Emerson--Combat-Doc (Oct, 2012)I bought this CPU for the native speed as I am not into overclocking.
overclocked clock speed (water)
FX 6200 by Barcheck55 (Oct, 2012)I've been using water cooling on most of my powerful computers, so after overclocking it to 4.5 GHz, it remained stable,FAST and kept cool.

AMD FX 6-Core Black Edition FX-6200 | Rated 100% by by AMDGuyMichigan (Nov, 2012)THIS IS A FULLY UNLOCKED PROCESSOR.........AND I would definately have to say that after 20 years of using nothing but intel, my first build using an AMD CPU was pleasantly suprising.
AMD FX 6-Core Black Edition FX-6200 | Rated 100% by by David-M.-Emerson--Combat-Doc (Oct, 2012)I have a Corsair H-60 as a back up, still in the box.

AMD FX 6-Core Black Edition FX-6200 | Rated 100% by by Parham (Mar, 2012)I put it at lowest level and in that level it's pretty quiet and it rarely goes higher than that except for when I'm gaming!

AMD FX 6-Core Black Edition FX-6200 | Rated 100% by by Izaya (Oct, 2012)GAMING: For Gaming, I have learned that the CPU can only do so much, sure, the FX can lose some gaming performance eventually, but after that, it's only up to the GPU.
AMD FX 6-Core Black Edition FX-6200 | Rated 100% by by Parham (Mar, 2012)In gaming and higher usages of CPU, the fan's noise can be bothering if you're using the stock fan.
Temperature
AMD FX 6-Core Black Edition FX-6200 | Rated 100% by by Parham (Mar, 2012)This is a pretty good CPU in my opinion... It's as fast as I expected and its temperature is lower that I expected from an AMD CPU with the stock fan!
AMD FX 6-Core Black Edition FX-6200 | Rated 100% by by Thomas (Oct, 2012)I will suggest additonal cooling, but you do not need to go overboard.
AMD FX 6-Core Black Edition FX-6200 | Rated 100% by by Thomas (Oct, 2012)I still prefer intel in my laptops for power consumption and cooling reasons but on a full sized rig I can't justify the Intel price premium.
