AMD A6 7400K

Released January, 2014
  • 3.5 GHz
  • Dual core
  • Unlocked
8.1 Out of 10

Note as well that this chip is unlocked, so it is being aimed directly at the budget enthusiast who is willing to overclock this particular APU.

In fact, the 45W A6-7400K is performing much faster, even with nearly half the compute cores as the full blown A10 series.

The initial launch in January also featured another part that never became available until now; the A8-7600 was supposed to be available some months ago, but is only making it to market now.
Its weakness is certainly that of only having one module active, and that module only having ½ the L2 cache enabled.
