This Is The First Carbon Nanotube Computer, And It Will Change The World Forever

There come along certain advances in technology that take everything to a new level, and this is one of them. Extremetech reports that Stanford scientists have built the first carbon nanotube (CNT) computer, and are already boasting that their approach can compete with silicon.

Single CNT transistors have already been clocked at many times the speed of silicon transistors while consuming only a fraction of the power, but this marks the first time that the individual pieces of a hypothetical CNT computer have come together to create a fully functional whole.
