This Is How You Overclock An AMD Bulldozer To 8.42 GHz

With liquid frigging helium, that’s how. Old but good, this video’s from AMD’s record-breaking showcase of its octo-core Bulldozer FX chip. They started with conventional air- and water-cooled setups to benchmark speeds past 5GHz, with liquid nitrogen pushing it past the previous record, and finally using liquid helium to set the current benchmark at 8.429GHz under -220º F temperatures. Holy smokes.
