Daniel White has been documenting malware for nine years and has collected more than 450 videos of viruses in action on his Youtube channel, and the stuff is not only informative but downright mesmerizing. For anyone who remembers computing in the ’90s, though, the real gold is in the videos of classic MS-DOS viruses. From Wired:
“In the DOS era it was very much a hobbyist sort of thing,” White explains. Skilled coders wanted to show off their skills. They formed groups, and those groups pioneered different ways to infect and proliferate.
